My schedules: search, duplicate, templates
This is the home screen (/): the list of your schedules, and what you can do to them without opening them — search, duplicate, keep as a template, move to the trash.
The list and search
The table shows, per schedule: Name, Rows, Blocks, Modified on, Modified by. Clicking a header sorts by it.
The Search… field, at the top, filters the list live, with no accent or case sensitivity: type "reno" and only schedules whose name contains that string of letters stay visible. Nothing to confirm, nothing to reset besides clearing the field.
Creating a schedule
The New schedule button opens a text field in its place; type a name and click Create (the full walk-through, with the first block, is in Creating your first schedule).
On each row: five gestures
Every schedule carries a row of buttons:
- Open — same as clicking the name.
- Rename — a text field replaces the name, in place.
- Duplicate — copies right away, with no prompt: groups, rows, blocks, icons, links, comments, legend, with fresh identifiers. The copy is called "Copy of name" and shows up in the list at once; a message confirms it ("name" copied.).
- Versions — this schedule's version history, without opening it (the same screen as the editor's Versions button — see Versions and the trash).
- Save a copy as a template — see below.
- Delete — asks for confirmation in place (Delete / Cancel) before moving the schedule to the trash (see Versions and the trash). Nothing is lost right away.
Templates
Save a copy as a template takes a snapshot of the schedule as it is right now and places it in the Templates gallery — the original schedule, itself, doesn't change and stays in the normal list. The Templates (N) button, at the top, opens that gallery.
A template is a schedule whose dates are relative to its start: from the gallery, Create a schedule asks for a Start date and, optionally, a name (otherwise the template's own name is used); the whole content shifts in working days from that date. This is how you keep a standard type of project (the same phases, the same durations) and replay it at a different date each time, without redrawing the blocks.
The trash
The Trash (N) button, at the top, lists what's been deleted: Name, Rows, Blocks, Deleted on, Purged on, and a Restore button. A deleted schedule stays readable there for thirty days before being purged for good — the full detail is in Versions and the trash.
What this page doesn't cover
- What you see once the schedule is open (the timeline, the grid): see The timeline: blocks, links and milestones and The grid and columns.
- Importing a schedule from a file (v23, CSV, ICS, MS Project): this gesture doesn't exist yet in this screen — see the note about it in Printing and exports.
- Sharing a schedule with someone else: see Sharing and roles.
