Versions and the trash
Two different safety nets: versions keep snapshots of a schedule's content over time; the trash keeps a whole schedule after it's deleted.
Versions
The Versions button (in the editor's ribbon, or on each row of My schedules, without opening the schedule) shows: "A version is the whole schedule at one moment: taken every day it changed, before every bulk operation, before every restore, or here, by hand. Restoring overwrites nothing — the prior state stays as a version, and Ctrl+Z reverts it."
A Label (optional) field and a Create a version button take one manually, right away, with the given name. The list, below: Taken on, Rank, Reason (manual, daily, before_bulk, restore), Label, and two buttons per row — Set as reference and Restore.
- Restore replaces the current content with the chosen version's — a command like any other, which Ctrl+Z undoes; the state right before the restore itself stays as a version (reason
restore), nothing is lost. - Set as reference (baseline) marks a version as a comparison point: blocks moved since then carry a shadow at their former place, on screen as well as when printing.
The trash
From My schedules, Delete on a schedule asks for confirmation in place (Delete / Cancel), then the message confirms it: "name" moved to the trash for thirty days. The Trash button, at the top of the screen (with the number of schedules it holds), lists what's there: Name, Rows, Blocks, Deleted on, Purged on (exactly thirty days after deletion), and a Restore button that returns the schedule to the main list, identical to what it was.
A schedule in the trash is neither readable nor editable — even through a sharing link already passed along — until it's restored or permanently purged.
What happens when you get it wrong
- A version restore that doesn't work out: Ctrl+Z right after undoes the restore itself; later, another version (the prior state was kept automatically) stays available in the same list.
- A schedule deleted by mistake: as long as the thirty days haven't passed, Restore from the Trash brings it back intact — nothing to rebuild.
- A reference (baseline) set on the wrong version: set another one, or clear it (
clear_baseline, an agent gesture today rather than a button on this screen).
What this page doesn't cover
- Duplicating a schedule, keeping it as a template: see My schedules: search, duplicate, templates.
- Comparing two versions or two moments in detail: see History and Compare.
- Deleting and exporting your whole account (different from deleting a schedule): see Account and data.
